Life & Work with Breanna Lusuriello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Lusuriello.

Hi Breanna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started photography a little over eight years ago. My first camera was my mom’s old Fujifilm. I loved taking photos of nature! Over the years, I started taking photos of people, booked a bunch of practice sessions and continued to work on my editing skills. Four years later, I upgraded to a Canon Rebel T4i and started up my business. I am still learning and growing and love every moment of each session that I have.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not. I have had some sessions where the lighting wasn’t good. Images turned out too grainy. Settings weren’t correct, etc. This has resulted in some re-do sessions. However, we all learn and grow from our mistakes. Not every session will be perfect.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
It took me a few years to figure out what my niche was and sometimes I still question whether or not I want to stick with it. That being said, I try to focus on engagement and maternity. I absolutely love doing these types of sessions. They are my favorite. I still do family sessions, but not nearly as much as engagement and maternity.

I have recently been published twice in Raleigh Photographers Magazine, once in 256 Photo and twice in Baby Model Magazine for my maternity sessions. I would have to say that has been my biggest accomplishment so far in my photography career.
