Meet Ashlyn Goldberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlyn Goldberg.

Hi Ashlyn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Several years ago, friends on Instagram starting asking me for advice on decorating and styling their homes. After getting those requests over and over again, I realized there might be a market for interior styling: someone to help folks with furniture layout, styling and accessory suggestions, art placement, etc. Now, my services are more comprehensive than that, but that is how I started.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Wonderfully smooth. There was a time at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, not long after I hung out my shingle that the messages and phone calls stopped but then, eventually, the floodgates opened and have remained open.

After so much at home, staring at our walls, people began to see the opportunity for improvement in their homes and reached out to me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I help people make their homes their favorite place on earth to be. I believe our homes can spark joy, soothe, and inspire.

I help people add beauty and function to their rooms. I have a strong belief in vintage and secondhand furniture from an environmental standpoint and beauty standpoint and I help people shop for those pieces.

My specialty is helping create spaces that reflect the client’s interests, personal taste, and values.

I believe in slowly and intentionally creating a room plan, a mood board, and gathering pieces thoughtfully to create a persona and beautiful home.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Home matters. Beauty and comfort matter. Taking the time to create thoughtful spaces that bring joy and pleasure is time well spent…
