As we planned our daughter’s wedding, we realized the beauty in simplicity and celebration. Weddings didn’t have to break the bank or strain relationships. They didn’t need to be large affairs. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
With everything there’s a learning curve. And we’ve learned better ways to do certain things, and what to avoid in others. But all in all I’ve been very fortunate to only grow and make more and more couples happy along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I graduated from the art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1989 and have been doing artistic things my whole life. So the dream of party planning and creating things was always something I wanted to do, but never thought I could make enough money doing the things I love the most. But when my daughter became a mom with our first granddaughter, and she asked me to babysit, my husband told me to go for it and the rest of history.
How do you define success?
I define true success in making a living doing what you love. And I am definitely doing that.
