Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Mitscherlich

Hi Caitlin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I launched CAM Group Media in 2021 while working at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. At 21 years old, I was exploring my career path when an opportunity presented itself. My father, a business owner, along with my godmother, approached me with a request to manage the social media for their short-term rental company, Clayda Rental Properties. What began as a new endeavor quickly evolved into a passion. I discovered that social media marketing was not only something I enjoyed but also something I wanted to pursue long-term.

Recognizing the potential, I made the decision to return to Raleigh a year later to fully dedicate myself to CAM Group Media. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with an array of remarkable clients, including Clayda Rental Properties, WERKIN Outdoors, The Underground Pickleball and Recovery, and Pickles and Play. Working across various industries has provided me with invaluable experience and insights. I’m excited to continue expanding CAM Group Media, building strong partnerships, and contributing to each brand’s success through creative and impactful social media strategies.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey with CAM Group Media has been incredibly rewarding, but it hasn’t always been smooth. When I first started, I had a very basic understanding of social media marketing and quickly realized there was so much more to learn than simply posting content. Without formal training, I turned to YouTube and TikTok, immersing myself in countless hours of tutorials and advice from experienced marketers. I dedicated months to understanding the strategies behind content creation, audience engagement, and analytics.

One of the biggest challenges was developing the confidence to establish my own style and approach in a competitive industry. In the beginning, I doubted my abilities, wondering if I could really turn this into a thriving business. There were also logistical struggles – managing multiple clients and creating unique strategies for each of them required me to build my organizational and time-management skills from the ground up.

Through consistent effort, self-learning, and the support of my clients, I overcame these challenges and grew CAM Group Media into the agency it is today. Each setback taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of continually evolving.

We’ve been impressed with CAM Group Media, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
CAM Group Media is a social media marketing agency based in Raleigh, North Carolina, specializing in delivering tailored digital marketing solutions across diverse industries. Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Raleigh is the sense of community and opportunity here. It’s a city that blends southern charm with vibrant, diverse energy. Raleigh has a thriving entrepreneurial spirit, with so many startups, small businesses, and creatives supporting each other. The mix of bustling city life, beautiful parks, and an incredible food scene makes it an ideal place for both work and play. Plus, the growing appreciation for sports like pickleball here is amazing and something I’m thrilled to be a part of.

As for what I like least, it would have to be the traffic, especially during rush hour!! With Raleigh expanding so rapidly, congestion can be frustrating at times. However, it’s a small trade-off for living in such a dynamic and welcoming city.
