Today we’d like to introduce you to Davin Kearney.
Hi Davin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I had a passion to cook at an early age, watching my mom prepare food for me and my siblings. I starting cooking as a young adult for friends and family with a passion for grilling. It would alway make me happy to see others come together and enjoy great food. I started 2015 cooking on a pig cooker and a tent at call centers. Two years later i earned enough to purchase a food trailer. (2017) I didn’t stop there, kept pushing and (2019) bought a second food concession Truck this time. At this point my staff began to grow and now I’m helping people provide for their families. (2021) I got my first brick n mortar, doors opened January (2022) I had so much love and support from the food trucks the restaurant was a success. (2024) I opened my second location in (Wake Field) by Wake Forest. Now i have 37 employees on the payroll. Our staff are more like family then workers.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was very hard in the beginning, there were a lot of thing i did not know or understand, I learned a lot from trail and error. Covid was really hard for me and my team, there was no way to provide for myself or my staff.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
