Meet Juyné Clements of Event Elevation by Juyné

Today we’d like to introduce you to Juyné Clements.

Hi Juyné, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was introduced to the world of event planning in 1992 when I was asked by my aunt to help with the planning of our family’s reunion. Still, in high school with no experience in planning events, I was clueless and scared, but with guidance I took my assignments and executed them.

Like many family’s traditions are passed down, and this was one tradition that was passed to me. I loved every part of the planning process from conception to completion. I was intrigued by how many different people were involved in planning process, and that is when I realized I wanted to do this.

From that moment on, I took every opportunity to plan our family gatherings. In 2007, I planned my first big event; I was hired to plan and coordinate my cousin’s wedding. From that moment on, I have continued to plan and organize many social events.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I didn’t walk straight into event planning. I knew I wanted to be an event planner but, I was often told that I couldn’t make that a career and so after high school, I enrolled in community college and got a job as a paralegal, mediator and notary public. During my years as a paralegal, I gained communication skills, attention to detail skills and high organizational skills.

In 2003, while I was pregnant with my daughter, I had pregnancy complications and was put on bed rest very early. I would not let myself feel down or over worry so, with time on my side and nothing to do, I decided to get back to my passion of event planning and learned everything I could about the world of wedding and event planning.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Event Elevation by Juyné?

I am a professional certified wedding and event planner. I help busy individuals organize, plan and execute their most precious moments in their life. I specialize in many social events, memorial coordination’s and activity planning for adults in the Triangle/Triad areas. What sets me apart from others is my ability to bring out the special qualities and uniqueness in my clients that will make their event not a duplicate of someone else’s. I am known for being meticulous and taking an idea/concept for that event and elevating that into a one of a kind celebration.

How do you define success?
When I survey a room and everyone is smiling, laughing, hugging and kissing and don’t want the night to end, I know it was a successful night and my client is having the time of their life. That is how I measure success by that emotional connection I helped to create at the end of an event.

She is the best wedding planner EVER! My husband hardly ever compliments people, and he complimented her as he realized she was a NECESSITY for our wedding with a million moving parts. She will take care of you and any challenges (ie my whole wedding) that come with a spirit of excellence!!
