Hi Lashonda , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in a small house with a large family was a blessing I didn’t know I needed. I care deeply about helping families find their perfect place to call home – with all the space they need!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a REALTOR® is both rewarding and challenging. The market is always shifting, and exterior factors like interest rates, inventory, and buyer confidence can create hurdles. But what keeps me passionate is knowing that I’m guiding families through one of the biggest decisions of their lives. It’s not just about a transaction—it’s about helping people find a place they can truly call home. Seeing joy on their faces when the keys are finally in their hands, makes every challenge worthwhile.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about REALTOR at Reel Realty?
I am a NC REALTOR, serving the Piedmont Triad areas, helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals. I especially love working with first-time home buyers. They bring so much excitement and energy to the process, and it’s rewarding to guide them step by step through something that can feel overwhelming at first. I enjoy teaching them what to expect, celebrating their milestones along the way, and seeing the joy when they realize they’ve achieved their dream of owning a home. I don’t just sell houses—I build relationships. I take the time to truly understand my clients’ goals and guide them with honesty, patience, and care. My clients know I’m in their corner long after closing day. I am proud of the phone calls I receive from past clients, just checking in or inviting me to a family function; those are the moments that make what I do most meaningful. Calling me isn’t just about real estate, it’s about calling someone who cares deeply, tells you the truth and walks along side of you with support.
What are your plans for the future?
I am excited to continue learning about real estate and how to better serve my clients. One of my goals is to extend my real estate reach within my community, offering more home ownership workshops and sessions.
My husband and two sons keep a smile on my face and joy in my heart – I am honored to be a wife and mother to the most incredible humans on planet earth, we have much to celebrate and be thankful for!
