Meet Quionna Bryant-Hobbs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Quionna Bryant-Hobbs.

Hi Quionna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I guess the very beginning would be me wanting to be a model as a kid, that’s kind of what fueled everything I have going on now. Fast forward to my adult years, I have done fashion shows in Raleigh DC (DC Fashion Week) & New York (New York Fashion Week Emerging Designers) but I still wasn’t getting what I wanted out of it. The fashion world is extremely competitive and subjective and with other life situations happening, it was becoming impossible to continue traveling back and forth for shows and rehearsals. So in 2018, I began working on my own brand/business and started an online boutique, envyMe by QUIONNAB Inc and decided to be my own model/brand ambassador. Now, I absolutely love fashion, clothes, taking pictures, creating looks, etc. but I was feeling like the market was a little saturated and researching quality vendors was becoming more and more time-consuming. I got engaged and found out I was pregnant so I took that time to take a step back and reevaluate what I really wanted to accomplish, what was my true goal and it was still modeling.

By this time Clubhouse was emerging and I somehow ended up in a group discussing brand deals, influencing and content creation. And just like that, I had an epiphany. I got to work right away, joining influencing platforms and researching the different types of influencers. By this point, my life was so different from when I opened my online boutique, I was a mother and wife and wanted to share my growth as such. And that’s how I emerged as a lifestyle influencer & natural hair influencer (enthusiast). My proudest accomplishment thus far is becoming an Amazon influencer and I have recently been invited into the Amazon beauty program. So all those dreams of making Maybelline commercials are still obtainable just in a different aspect than I intended. Life can be funny like that sometimes.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth?!! Ohhh, no no! The road has been full of highs and lows, just think of the scariest but funniest roller coaster ride you’ve ever been on, it’s been like that. Some of the biggest struggles were pinning down a plan of action, the bigger picture is always vivid but details can be hazy. Location had an impact on what I wanted to do also, having to travel so much was a blow financially. And again, modeling is very competitive so not being easily accessible when there are thousands of beautiful women, you get skipped over.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Currently, I am a lifestyle & natural hair Influenster; in addition I am an Amazon influencer and now a part of the Amazon beauty program and my online boutique, envyME by QUIONNAB Inc is still operating. I am known for creating content centered around family, motherhood, fashion, natural hair care and empowering other women. What I am most proud of would be a tie between my boutique and becoming a part of the Amazon Beauty program. Both of these milestones are defining moments in helping me achieve my childhood dreams of modeling. I think my tenacity, flexibility, and encouraging attitude are a few qualities that set me apart from others. I have no problem stepping back, assessing my situation, restructuring and moving forward.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Oh wow, that’s a good question. Thus far, I will say that I have been very blessed that the connections I’ve made prior to owning an online business and becoming an influencer have benefited me greatly. Treating people kindly and with respect no matter their status in life will get you far because you never know who someone will become and how they can help you.
