Meet Roberto Rodriguez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roberto Rodriguez.

Hi Roberto, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Five years ago I was like everyone else, taking pictures with my phone. My wife and her family and my friends started to notice the pictures I was taken with my phone. They would tell me that I had an eye for photography, some people even thought I took those shots with a professional camera. So I slowly started to do some research on photography, so my wife saw my interest and saw my passion for it growing. So she decided for Christmas that she would surprise me and got me a NikonD5600 that was my first real camera. I fell involve with nature, so I started taking wildlife and nature photos. I then slowly got into weddings, fashion and portraits. I did my first wedding months after I got my camera, that wedding took place down by the beach in Mrtyle Beach. I was so nervous but at the same time so so excited to finally get my first wedding. So from there, I just felt in my heart that I want to be a wedding photographer and my goal is to be able to travel the world capturing beautiful weddings to help create beautiful memories that would last a lifetime. I love photography, it’s my heart and passion and I always, always demonstrate my love for it in every picture that I take 🙂 So yes this has been an amazing five years journey and I can not wait to see what the future holds for my work.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Some days are good and no nothing in life that you love or work hard to achieve will ever be easy. The struggle is real. Photography is a big industry so everyday you are pushing yourself hard just to get your name out there and to have your work displayed. I have been blessed to have met great people along the way but I am nowhere near to say I have made it but I am defiantly working towards my goals. I love that it’s hard sometimes because that just test me to see how much I love photography and how much I really want it either way, good days or bad days its all worth it at the end 🙂

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a photographer. I specialize in weddings, fashion, and portraits.

I am most proud of my journey and to see how I am growing in every photo that I take and for people to notice the growth that is so worth it. I have been published over four times for my wedding work and fashion photography. Being published is such an awesome accomplishment; it’s almost like winning a trophy in the playoffs or Super Bowl same feeling 🙂

What I feel sets me apart from others is that there is only one of me. 🙂 There is a photographer that I follow on YouTube and he said these words there are many and many photographers but there is only one you. What sets me apart, I would say is my love and drive for photography; it always shows in my work and just my love for people and being able to put that smile on a brides face that is what sets me apart, I love to see that 🙂

I love doing collaboration work. I feel it’s a great tool to connecting with new people and networking but I also have a business side to my work in where if they visit my website, they can see my rates for weddings, maternity shoot, portrait for kids, family, and couples.
