Rising Stars: Meet S A S H A

Today we’d like to introduce you to S A S H A.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is S A S H A. I am an American singer & songwriter known mainly for the words I write and the notes I play. People call it a blend of R&B, soul, rock, and electronic, but to me, it feels like “home”.

I miss home sometimes, wherever that is. Some tell me I “fell from the moon”. I would like to be in a place where I believe them but it’s hard for me to remember the early days. Hundreds of shows, thousands of faces, and millions of streams later, I begin to remember the warmth of love and emotion.

People here on this planet, they need that. Sometimes I see them feed off of hate, and they hide from their fears. It makes me sad. I’m planning a tour now. In places like New York, L.A., Ohio, Tennessee, Atlanta, and Raleigh as well. I want to show everyone in the world how to feel again.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. Of course not. And it’s not always a path.

Sometimes it’s a mountain or an ocean. There’s something in between every one of us and the place we want to be. We all have dreams. We work, we make love, we raise children, and we bury our loved ones all in the same day.

But at night we go to sleep and we dream. As cliche as it may sound, doesn’t it feel nice when you make those dreams real?

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work consists of the manipulation of emotions in audio format.

In other words, I translate feelings into sound. Of course, I am proud of some of my compositions, but I am angry with a good number of them too. I guess that is the beauty of emotion, right, it’s not always good? I am very proud of my latest album. I wanted to prove to myself that I could make a full body of work by myself.

Play all the instruments, write all the lyrics, and record it. The lyrics and overall theme of the album uncovered a lot of suppressed emotions for me during that time period so the process was almost therapeutic, in a way.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Stream my latest album FROM on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and basically everywhere else. If you still want more after that, come see me at

Love you so much.
