Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitey Ellis.
Hi Whitey, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been tattooing ten years now. I moved to Rocky Mount, NC from North East Pennsylvania with my wife back in 2018.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting out as an apprentice was certainly difficult. I kept grinding away, working towards doing a better tattoo every opportunity that I had. To this day, every line I draw I try to make better than the last one.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ll do just about any style of tattooing that the client wants. From simplistic linework to black and grey realism. I enjoy doing American traditional designs the most but my forte is black and grey realism.
