What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?

When I was a child, I believed I was timid and shy because that’s what I was often told. I thought my voice didn’t matter, and at times, I missed opportunities because I was too nervous to speak up. Growing up I believed that I wasn’t worthy or capable of feeling loved, valued or respected. Over the course of my lifetime I’ve learned that I am more than my past, every obstacle that I came across I worked hard to overcome. As a child, I believe that you did what you were told, you don’t speak unless you’re spoken to and that you observe, but you remain quiet. As an adult. I’ve learned that it is best to always observe a situation before you give your input always think logically before you think emotionally but also being quiet doesn’t solve the problem. Read more>>
