Hi Axel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Wen covid hit my music career was destroyed, addicted to heroin, I quit cold turkey and started tattooing. I now own my own shop and have 32 convention awards. Tattooing for 5 years now.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The struggles that come with owning a small business, I made the mistake of partnering with my mentor at first and things ended wen 8 caught him embezzeling money and stealing from me. Lesson learned for sure.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
New school color work and cartoons are what I love to do best. I dont compare myself to others as im on my own road. Im most proud of the progress ive made wen people ask how long ive been tattooing its always a shock wen I tell them.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Find a mentor that has good work and isnt there just to make you clean toilets. Do your homework. Go into shops, get tattooed and feel the place out. Have a strong portfolio because the world has enough ai artists mudding up the industry
