Hi Chris, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I opened Top Flight Computers because I wanted to provide a more relationship-based option for those who were looking for a custom workstation. Some people have a laundry list of software that needs to be accounted for, some have a really niche workload that requires some specialized thought, and others want a really nice gaming computer. At the same time, if what you need is the best fit with a mass-market pre-built system, that’s what we recommend.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a very interesting path, to say the least. In the early years, we struggled with pricing, brand comparison, attracting the ideal customers, and what to sell. I struggled with selling properly, learning the best way to market, and content to have customer-facing. Basically, the only thing that was easy was the physical building of the computers and delivering a high-quality product.

As we gained experience, we started picking up more unique orders and truly high-end builds. When 2020 happened (and 2021), our supply chain cratered. While this has proven to be a VERY difficult challenge, we’re still in business.

After 5.5 years though, I am glad that I made all the mistakes early on. They have proven to be the foundation that I need, especially given the current market and supply chain.
