An Inspired Chat with Hannah Jacobs Martin of Greensboro

We recently had the chance to connect with Hannah Jacobs Martin and have shared our conversation below.

Hannah, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
“I’m most proud of building a future for my kids. It’s not something you see every day, but every late night, every risk, every idea I chase is really about giving them opportunities I never had.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Im Hannah Martin, founder of Drippy Hospitality. We’re more than a bartending company — we’re a hospitality brand built on heart, creativity, and connection. From weddings to corporate functions, we provide mobile bartending, event staffing, and unique add-ons like dirty sodas, all designed to elevate the guest experience. What makes Drippy Hospitality unique is our attention to detail and people-first mindset — we don’t just show up, we help create memories. At its core, Drippy is about building community and celebrating life’s best moments with style and care.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
“Before the world told me who I had to be, I was simply surviving — caring for my parents, enduring trauma, and stepping into motherhood as a teenager. Those chapters weren’t easy, but they built my resilience and fueled my passion for creating a better future for my children and my community

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Love you. You survived more than anyone should have to, and that’s proof you’re stronger than your fears. It’s okay to rest — you’re doing enough.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in the hospitality and events industry is that it’s ‘just bartending’ or ‘just staffing.’ The truth is, what we do shapes the entire atmosphere of an event. Great hospitality isn’t background noise — it’s what makes guests feel valued, cared for, and remembered.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I’d stop playing small. I’d stop watering down my vision to fit what’s expected, and I’d go all in on building the legacy I want to leave behind
