An Inspired Chat with Naraisha Rorie

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Naraisha Rorie . Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Naraisha , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day, I like to first set a positive tone before I get my day started. I listen to affirmations for 20 minutes while I’m doing my skincare and my normal daily hygiene routine. After I wrap that up I mediate for 5 to 10 minutes then I practice my yoga. Then I like to journal and listen to uplifting music that puts me in a great mood. If it’s a school week I have to get my son together and sometimes I cook breakfast before I have to get him to school. I normally have a list of errands so I make sure to get all my errands done for that particular day. I also walk daily so I normally do a 1- 2 mile walk in nature and that always puts me in a wonderful mood.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I’m Naraisha Rorie, the founder and owner of Willie Mae’s Cleaning Service. This is a new business venture inspired by my great-grandmother, Mrs. Willie Mae Jones. She was an exceptional housekeeper, and I discovered that I share her passion and love for cleaning. Therefore, I decided to start a cleaning business to continue her remarkable legacy.

I embarked on this journey after being terminated from a corporate job I had held for six years. At that moment, I vowed never to let any company control my livelihood again. With faith in myself, I launched my business on July 27, 2024, and I haven’t looked back since.

Fast forward a year, and my cleaning business has been thriving. I have a steady stream of recurring clients and have even become a Top Groupon merchant. My company boasts excellent reviews on Google, and I am confident that it will continue to grow and improve as long as I remain committed to my vision.

I am actively working on expanding my cleaning company to other major cities, such as Georgia, Florida, and New York, just to name a few. My ultimate goal is to make my business a global entity.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I feel the relationship I have with myself has really shaped me into the woman I am today. I feel the person you spend the most time with is you. So you always want to make sure you practice self love , self awareness , and self compassion in developing into your true authentic self. Your relationship that you have with yourself will teach everyone else that you come in contact with how to treat you. I believe my journey of healing and doing shadow work has really help me evolve. While I continue to grow I have learned everything doesn’t deserve a reaction. While I may not have always been this way, dealing with childhood traumas and worldly challenges can take a toll on your well-being. Also to fully develop your higher self and find your purpose, it’s essential to embark on a journey of self-discovery, engage in shadow work, and heal the wounds from your past.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would love to say, “Girl, you’re beautiful being, and never let the world change you.”

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe it’s best to be your true, authentic self when you’re aware of your identity and purpose. Nothing can hinder you, and no one can attack you because you don’t have to pretend or conceal anything when you operate from your higher self.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I find the most profound sense of peace when I’m alone, allowing myself to reflect deeply on how I can become a better person, woman, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.
