Ruth, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity. Integrity is the foundation of everything else. Intelligence and energy are valuable, but without integrity, they can be misused. I want to know that I can be trusted – my products can be trusted – especially when its hard or inconvenient.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Originally from Germany, I have been living in the US since 2006. I am passionate about natural wellness and staying connected to my roots – which inspired be to start my own line of 100% organic elderberry products, made with love and based on a traditional German family recipe passed down through generations.
At the heart of my business is a deep belief in the power of simple, natural ingredients to support health and well-being. Form elderberry syrup to elderberry honey, teas and cocoa mix, everything I make is crafted in small batches with care, honesty, and integrity.
Whether you are looking to boost your immune system or just love natural remedies, I am excited to share this piece of my heritage with you!
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My husband is my greatest supporter and quiet strength behind everything I do. He believes in me, even on the days I doubt myself. Whether I am chasing a new idea, building my business, or simply navigating life’s ups and downs, he stands beside me – not just with words, but with unwavering presence.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Setbacks have been part of my journey – some expected, some not. There were moments that tested my patience, my confidence, and my strength. But through every challenge, one thing has never changed: my determination to keep going. Setbacks don’t define me, how I rise after then does.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
If you asked my closest friend what really matters to me, they’d probably say: God, family, and country.
My faith gives me purpose, guiding my values and how I treat others. My family is my foundation – they keep me grounded and motivated. And I have deep respect for this country, and the opportunities is had given me since moving here. Those three things shape how I live, work, and make decisions every day.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What false labels are you still carrying?
People think I have competitors. I don’t see other elderberry companies as competitors. Everyone brings something different to the table – and that’s a good thing. But I’ve poured my heart into creating something truly unique and superior with my products.
What sets mine apart is the authenticity of a traditional German family recipe, 100% organic ingredients, and a level of care you can taste in every bottles. I stay focused on craftmanship, integrity and results – because I believe when you offer something special, you don’t need to compete…you just need to stay true to what you do best.
