An Inspired Chat with Tiara Cohen of Durham

Tiara Cohen shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Tiara, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Working out in the morning. It really sets the tone for my day and allows time to focus.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Tiara Nicole. I am an entrepreneur who has been a licensed cosmetologist for the past 10 years. I am also a cosmetology instructor, Holistic Trichologist, and Master Herbalist. My company is Hair Miracles. And we focus on beauty and wellness.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust. When you break trust with a person, it changes how they see you forever. Building trust with a person, does the same thing.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are right! You know exactly what you want. Go and get it whether your loved ones see your vision or not. Be happy and stay focused.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My kids

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
Laughing with me and the way I make them feel.
