An Inspired Chat with Yenni Orellana of Fayetteville

Yenni Orellana shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Yenni , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: Who are you learning from right now?
I’m learning from life itself. Each stage teaches me something new—patience, resilience, and the importance of believing even when the path gets hard. I learn from my experiences, from the moments when I’ve had to start over, and from how every challenge has helped me grow stronger and appreciate what truly matters.

I’m also learning from my family, especially my daughter. She reminds me every day why it’s worth fighting for my dreams, keeping my faith, and always giving my best. Through her eyes, I see the world with hope and remember to never give up.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
My first memory of feeling powerful was as a little girl, helping my mother in the kitchen. I remember she would let me make small desserts or simple dishes, and even though they were modest, I felt like I was creating something magical with my own hands. There was a deep sense of pride and joy seeing my family enjoy what I had made.

In that moment, I realized that the love and effort we put into what we do can turn something ordinary into something special. That feeling of power —to create, to serve, and to make others smile through my work— is still what drives me today.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell her: don’t be afraid to start over. Every change that feels like a loss is actually an opportunity to discover a stronger, braver version of yourself. Everything that feels difficult today will one day become your greatest lesson.

I would remind her that she doesn’t need to have it all figured out to move forward —her strength lies in her ability to adapt, to love, and to keep creating even in moments of uncertainty. And that one day, everything that once hurt will make sense.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire my mom. She’s been through so much, yet she never lost her faith or her way of loving. She always finds strength where others might give up, and seeing that taught me what it truly means to be strong at heart.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop worrying so much about the future and start living more in the present. I’d spend more time with my family, travel more, laugh more, and cook slowly—just for the joy of it. Sometimes we forget to enjoy what we already have, and I think that would be my biggest change: to live with more gratitude and less fear.
