Blanca Jimenez of Holly springs on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Blanca Jimenez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Blanca , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Going for a walk with my son and boyfriend.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, my name is Blanca Partin. I own Hugging Souls Massage Therapy LLC in Holly Springs. I’m from Dominican Republic and I’ve been living in North Carolina for 15 years.
I used to work in insurance for 9 years. Helping clients was so rewarding to me, but I knew my true calling was massage therapy.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe what breaks bonds between people is dishonesty and what restores it are the actions that reflects you are trying to restore the bond.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
When I first moved to the United States. I remember crying all the time and feeling extremely lonely. My neighbor helped me to get a phone at Walmart and after that I started looking for jobs. I barely could speak English.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
To always provide a service with Quality

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was a person that never gave up, a person that provided a service with kindness and professionalism.
