Today we’d like to introduce you to Aerial Johnson

Hi Aerial, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
To begin with, I’m grateful for this opportunity and I wanted to say thank you! It’s funny, but this journey actually started with a dream I had. Being a spiritual person, I’ve found that many aspects of my life are influenced by my intuition and inner guidance from God. As a kid, I was always crafting something. From paper doll houses and flip flops to drawing/coloring and making jewelry, my creativity knew no bounds. So when I dreamed about custom rolling trays, I woke up thinking let me see if this is a thing on YouTube. And as I researched, I realized this is actually something people do and I’m thinking, why not me?! I came up with a business name called AJ Exquisite & after perfecting my rolling trays through trial and error, I decided to branch out and create other items such as ashtrays, lighters, jars, and coasters.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a wild ride, but I’ve learned to roll with the punches. Finding the right products and techniques has taken time, and I’ve made my fair share of mistakes. But if you’re willing to trust yourself and take it one step at a time, you’ll get there. Especially if you’re working with tricky materials like spray paint and epoxy resin.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Cooking is another one of my passions! I’ve founded A Taste From Scratch, a part-time cooking business where I sell plates and prepare custom meals. Previously, I worked as a night manager at Just Save Foods for 5 years, gaining excellent customer service experience. My greatest accomplishment is pushing past challenges and believing in myself enough to start my own businesses. I stand out from the crowd because I’m committed to my own success & dedicated to crafting handmade items with love. Each order is carefully created to exceed my customers’ expectations.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes I’m sure we all agree that COVID 19 was an eye opening experience. We should all take care of ourselves & proceed with caution.
