Hi Ameer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My alma mater has a strong Agricultural program, and although I was enrolled in the business school, I was surrounded by friends in that program and inspired by their passion for the field. I teamed up with a close friend from the Ag program with a shared mission: to provide our neighbors with a straightforward, informed, and reliable landscaping service.
We found early success. Clients were happy, relationships grew, and our knowledge deepened. Over time, we intentionally expanded our offerings from basic maintenance and light services to drainage solutions, patio and wall construction, and eventually full-scale design and build services. Today, Ponti has evolved into a design-build firm dedicated to creating thoughtful, functional, and beautiful outdoor living spaces.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any growing business, we’ve encountered our share of challenges. We continue to approach each with creativity and optimism.
Some obstacles are common in our industry: building a strong, cohesive team, managing unpredictable weather and the aftermath of storms, maintaining our commitment to showing up with excellence every day (yes, even on weekends), and standing out in a market with other talented providers. Challenges are inevitable, but they motivate our team to continue refining our process, elevating our workmanship, and striving for excellence in everything we do.

Ponti designs and builds outdoor living spaces tailored to each client’s unique lifestyle. Whether it’s a space for hosting, relaxing, or creating family memories, our goal is to design something meaningful and built to last.
We pride ourselves on custom work. No two projects are alike because no two clients are alike. From the moment someone reaches out to us, we listen closely to understand their needs and vision. Our design process is highly collaborative, with multiple iterations and refinements to ensure the final plan feels “just right.”
That collaboration continues into the build phase. Our clients hear from us regularly, whether it’s progress updates, walkthroughs, or key decision points. We leave no stone unturned to prevent surprises and ensure every detail aligns with the client’s expectations.

I’m grateful to work alongside creative, dedicated people every day, and to spend so much of my time outdoors doing work with purpose. Outside of work, spending quality time with my loved ones keeps me grounded and gives me perspective on kindness, generosity, and sincerity. That mindset guides how we show up for our clients and helps me stay fulfilled both personally and professionally.
