Check Out Angela Vittori’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Vittori

Hi Angela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well I’ve been singing since I was a little girl. I remember being so mesmerized by female singers on TV and I wanted to be just like them. I idolized any woman with a microphone and a strong voice. I grew up singing at school and in church. I actually used to get scolded by my choir teacher for not singing the songs properly and precisely. I guess I always had a way of taking the song and singing it the way I wanted to sing it. Go figure…here I am, years later, STILL taking songs and singing them the way I want to. I haven’t changed a bit – haha!
Let’s skip to the good part: I moved to Raleigh in the summer of 2021 and I wanted to jump into the music scene right away. I posted an ad looking for a guitar player and ended up getting way more than I had hoped for – an already established cover band who needed a lead singer. I met them and we played a few songs together. I knew immediately that I was right where I needed to be and we’ve been making music together ever since.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to where I am now has had its challenges for sure. I would say it’s all just one giant process. You have to stay diligent and know that eventually it’s going to be worth it because hard work and determination always pays off in the end. Sometimes when you’re writing songs, recording tracks, learning & rehearsing cover songs with the band, booking gigs, driving home at 3am,…it feels like such a tiring, endless grind. But then you get those moments when you get on stage and you have an electric audience who’s singing along with you and screaming that they love you; and all of a sudden it finally feels like all your hard work has paid off.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer/songwriter with music on all streaming platforms. I’m also the lead singer of a touring cover band based out of Raleigh, NC called Hatchback. We travel all over the country performing a huge variety of country/rock/pop songs. Another fun singing “side gig” I get to do is sing the National Anthem for the NBA (Portland Trailblazers) and NHL (Carolina Hurricanes) every single year which is a huge honor. I truly look forward to it each and every season!

Any big plans?
What I’m most looking forward to is releasing my new ORIGINAL songs. I’ve been singing cover songs for so long and I’m finally ready to share my own lyrics and melodies with the world. It’s going to be a lot of fun to perform a song that I wrote! Maybe one day I’ll look out into the crowd and they’ll be singing along to a song of mine. That would be so surreal and a dream come true!
