Check Out Aya Zaghloul’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aya Zaghloul.

Hi Aya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Aya Zaghloul is a computer scientist by degree, but an entrepreneur at heart—passionate about building businesses that bring joy, health, and purpose to people’s lives.

After spending a decade in the computer software industry and becoming a mom of four, Aya discovered her true calling. A lifelong lover of dance and fitness, she began teaching Zumba in 2017 at a local gym. What started as a joyful side passion quickly grew into a thriving community.

When the pandemic hit and gyms shut their doors, Aya was determined to keep that community alive. Leaning on her tech background, she built her own website, found independent spaces to teach, and turned her passion into a full-time business.

That journey led to her next chapter—Curate Studio, a boutique venue she founded and designed in 2023.

With a mission to provide a space where people can Celebrate, Educate, and Motivate, Curate Studio is the natural extension of Aya’s belief in bringing people together with intention and heart.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Transitioning from an engineer to a full time mother, and now to a first time business owner, there were some challenges along the way. Learning the ropes of opening a business and starting an LLC took some time, and required me to work from the ground up. However, there was a great support system around me – my family and friends, and local small business owners were there to guide me along the way!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I was born a creative.

Being the founder and creative force behind Curate Studio has given me the opportunity to fulfill my purpose by providing a space that brings people together for celebrations, movement, and community – in addition to teaching my Zumba classes.

Curate Studio is rented every week, giving clients a venue to gather for social events and corporate events. When I designed Curate Studio, my goal was to provide a space where people can celebrate, educate and motivate.

I build personal connections with my clients. I guide them during the planning process to ensure that their event is as seamless as possible, and enjoyable by all of their guests.

What I’m most proud of is how Curate Studio has become more than just a venue—it’s a space where people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was high-energy and always on the go! I loved to be outside, I loved to dance, and I loved to gather people together!

I played basketball and ran track as my core activities,

I’ve always loved movement!
