Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Mitchell.
Hi Danielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Danielle Mitchell was born on February 24, 2007. The parents are Thomas and Vanessa Mitchell (Varonica, sister). Danielle was born and raised in Henderson, NC. She made her first steps into dancing at about age 3 or 4. Since the start of her dance career, she has been voted the lead dancer and Captain in a dance academy group called “iDance Praise Academy.” She and the dance academy have had the opportunity to perform with many gospel recording artists in different areas and states. Danielle started showing signs of having a mature and genius mindset at a very young age. She began to excel early in her schooling and other areas of her life. She was asked to help students in other grade levels during school, to acing tests with ease, and to be told she was eligible to skip a grade in 3rd grade. She began to venture out into building her own business as a youth entrepreneur at age 12 when she started tutoring some of her friends and dance sisters on the side after school hours. Eventually, she started running her tutoring service. Danielle is an honor roll student at Vance Granville Early College and was one of the only Early High School students in 201 to be accepted into the Early College program during the difficulty of the covid pandemic. She gained a love for art amidst all of this, and people began to take an interest in her art and painting. And she started an art gallery in her hometown and sold out her 1st and 2nd ones. Danielle enjoys being a Social Media Influencer, building her model and dancing skills, and tutoring her students/clients weekly. One of Danielle’s biggest accomplishments was when she saw a need for young people online. She created a program to help children make good and smart choices if they choose to be online and use social media as a form of entertainment. Her Social Media Platform is called: S.A.F. E= Safe Actions For Everyone. She created it to help keep children and teens safe online and teaches it to youth groups, schools, and churches to help young people make positive choices for her modeling. She has been a featured model in many fashion shows, such as “The Best of Both Worlds” by K.M.C. and The Strut Outside the Box fashion show. She has done a press release shoot for the Clothing line VaVichi Clothiers International Clothing Brand and is soon to be featured in a few magazines because of it. Danielle was recently featured on the “Thought by Eric G” Podcast, talking about her Early College endeavors and building her tutoring business. I also want to add that Danielle always thanks God, Her mom Vanessa, her dad, Thomas, and her little sister Varonica for being there every step to help guide, support, and love her with all support now in the tutoring business. I have been blessed to bring on another bright young lady to my team to assist me in tutoring children in our community by the name of Kamiyah Wimbush. She is smart, self-motivating, and an amazing rising early college 9th grader. I want to thank her mother, Ms. Ebony Hart, for allowing her to be on Danni’s Tutoring Team!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Anytime you attempt to start a business, and in the future, with your purpose against all odds, you will go through challenges and obstacles, but I kept my faith in God and believed in the ability I knew I had on the inside. My mom and dad, Thomas and Vanessa Micthell, always spoke life into me and helped me every step, although it hasn’t always been a smooth road. I have grown stronger in my crafts from every roadblock, and now I am thriving in grace. I’m so grateful! This is what happens when you Don’t Give Up! I know because I chose to keep pushing, I am where I am today. A 15-year-old Early College Honor Student is running a business and thriving teen model, and I will keep pushing to get to higher heights.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have always liked school and helping others. Being asked to help students in other grade levels during school, even in elementary school. I started my Tutoring Service/Business as a youth entrepreneur at 12. In doing so, I realized that I also had a love and gift for art, and I started creating glass paintings, and people loved them from the start. I am also known for being a Positive Social Media Influencer. I have a heart for kids and seeing them do well. I began to see a need for young children online. It would break my heart when I would see a young child doing grown-up things online, and I saw it as unsafe. Because of that, I decided to create a programming platform to help children make good, smart, and, most importantly, SAFE choices and decisions online if they choose to be online and use social media as a form of entertainment. My Social Media Platform is “S.A.F. E= Safe Actions For Everyone.” I created it to help keep children and teens safe online, and she teaches it to youth groups, schools, and churches to help young people make positive choices. I am very proud to be a young person who positively helps other children. I enjoy being a young role model.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I can only speak for myself and from personal experience. My mom and dad have been the most amazing mentors I could have ever asked for. I always tell the kids I work with and help to always take advice from those who love them, and it can get no better than your parents. They want what’s best for you, and you can trust them always to have your back. My little sister Varonica is younger than me but has been a great help, motivator, and supporter for me the entire time. I advise others to share their visions and dreams with those who they truly hold dear to their hearts.

I enjoyed reading this article on such a dynamic and versatile young entrepreneur. Although I reside in Atlanta currently, I am from Henderson, NC and I am beaming with pride to know that our youths are making an impact on the community there. I applaud her parents for being the first “influencers” in her life. Congratulations, Danielle, and continue to allow God to order your steps.
