Check Out Hannah Cutts’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Cutts.

Hannah Cutts

Hi Hannah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I never grew out of Fairytales. Core memories are important, and the art of imaginative play is something that needs to be preserved. I remember meeting my childhood hero, Barbie, at the High Point Target decades ago- the butterflies I felt- the autograph I treasured- the whole experience was just so real to me. Years later, I am honored to be able to play a part in keeping rare moments of childhood alive and authentic. Our company was started with a passion for children’s entertainment; I wanted to bring a bit of theme park magic and storytelling to my community. Offering imaginative play with the highest quality character interactions in the state and events that now draw in weekly visitors from multiple cities and even states over.

Our magical children’s venue, named the “Fairytale Palace,” opened its doors in September 2018. Our “magic on main street” grew fast! Since then, we have hosted hundreds of birthday parties, storytimes, events, and playdates. We have moved twice and have grown to make even more magic between our brightly colored pink walls and across the Triad. We are now working to expand once more in the upcoming months to accommodate even more celebrations and invitations. With the belief that no detail is too small, we love & live for that magical moment when children (& adults) see their childhood heroes & role models come to life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Fairytales are not always an easy sell; sometimes, grown-ups need to be reminded how important imagination and suspended belief can be! It’s healing, which is something we certainly had to remind ourselves of during covid shutdowns. We are one of the only in the state (if not the only) character companies with a brick-and-mortar location. During the shutdowns, personal magic was needed more than ever. In order to remain in the magic, we had to really work to come up with creative and safe ways to interact with our clients and keep the magic going. Virtual magic mirrors, interactive online storytimes, outdoor “mask-queries”-anything we could to keep our castle lights on. Many tears were shed, but we did as Tiana taught us and “dig a little deeper,” and it truly revealed to us that this company is our mission, family is so important, and we must “never stop dreaming” even when times get tricky because magic still remains in those toughest of moments.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
One of many things that set our company apart is options! Kids do not limit their imaginations & we don’t limit your interactions with these Fairytales! We offer unique ways to play + love + experience royalty! If your little one loves dancing, she can invite her favorite royalty to attend her birthday in their tutu and toe shoes and dance the day away. Celebrate a spring day with bunnies and princesses at a garden tea party, invite a hero to swing by your local park, make lantern dreams with Rapunzel and her prince, make holiday wishes with Holly the Christmas fairy, or splash over to a mermaid dance party with Mermicorn (mermaid- unicorn) Celeste- there is no limit on fun and play with our cast of magic makers. The magic isn’t just limited to birthdays and holidays- we host monthly themed events to make ordinary days extraordinary.

What makes you happy?
Happiness is seeing grown-ups believe (even just for a second) in the magic they once remember. Even if it’s just for an hour, we have seen the powerful impact a princess’ smiling face can make on a child’s and family’s life. It’s an indescribable feeling when you watch a sea of little faces light up when our characters enter the room. Pure childhood magic- a moment- a core memory made. Happiness is seeing our regular clients grow up (and even grow “too old”), knowing you helped make their childhood just a little more playful and fun. Every child and family deserves the opportunity to be treated like royalty and believe in fairytales.
