Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Hall.
Hi Hannah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hannah Faith Creations officially started in 2016!
I was painting canvases for my dorm room for decor, and it slowly became known around my college dorm hall that I could paint. I began painting for people for FUN… not charging a dime.
My mom finally sat me down in our kitchen and said “you will not paint another painting for someone unless you charge for it…” because, let’s face it. I didn’t have a job! She was supplying my “hobby”.
So, lo and behold, Hannah Faith Creations was born.
It quickly blew up in my face, put me through college, allowed me to change my major to Art Education, and something that I didn’t even realize was my passion became my career.
I started wedding paintings in 2018! I’ve been honored to paint at over 120ish weddings! I’ve worked with some amazing vendors at some beautiful places… but most importantly I’ve painted for some incredible people. Capturing their love in a moment with my brush is something that I will never take for granted! And the fact that they choose ME to play a small part of their big day is so special!
Now, I have been teaching art in the classroom for 4 years, sharing my passion with children, which has been so amazing.
However, this June, my passion is becoming my full time career! I am stepping away from the classroom to chase my dream and open up my new art studio, “The Art Hall” in Haymount, a small area in downtown Fayetteville, NC!
I am so blessed and excited to start this journey. I wouldn’t be where I am at without the support and help from my family and friends, and the countless people who support me and my business!
The Art Hall will be a working studio where I will work on commissions and paintings to sell, a gallery where you can purchase paintings, and a workshop space where I will host more intimate courses on how to paint!
I’m so excited for this next adventure!!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I guess it has been a combination of both.
I think the smooth part comes into play when I think about the love I have for this career and this artform… as well as the people I encounter and the things I create.
The struggles have come more so with self doubt and not truly knowing if I am qualified enough to do this as my career.
Comparison is also the WORST thing for an artist… and the more frequent feeling you have. We are constantly comparing ourselves to the next artist.. and it is exhausting.
However, having unwavering support from my family and friends has given me the strength to keep going and chasing this dream! I’m so thankful for them and all of the people who has trusted me with creating a painting for them over the past almost 10 years!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a painter!
More specifically, an acrylic painter. My medium of choice is acrylic paints!
I went to art school and have dabbled in pretty much every medium you can imagine, but acrylic paint definitely stuck with me!
I offer live wedding paintings, live watercolor guest portraits, commission paintings such as: pet, house, people portraits, various paintings like florals or abstracts, as well as murals!
My newest service that I offer is a personalized sticker vending machine!
It brings that nostalgic feel to your wedding, creating a memorable guest favor for your big day! I fully customize stickers, temporary tattoos, and mini prints!
I think what sets me apart is my personality. I aim to make those personal connections with anyone I encounter but especially those who I create for! It means the world to me that they choose me out of a sea of artists and I am so thankful!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
First of all, I give all the credit to God. Through every high and low.. he has been the driving force to my success, and no matter what, I get through it.
I am so thankful to Him for this talent that he has blessed me with and the opportunities that he continuously gives me.
Secondly, my parents. For giving me the initial courage to take this hobby and turn it into something real. For always supporting me and being my biggest cheer leaders. My dad bought me my first easel and I’ll cherish that forever.
And last but certainly not least, my husband. Without his unwavering faith in me and this business, I wouldn’t be where I am today. He has seen me from the very start, painting in my parents kitchen or my college dorm, to where I am now. He takes care of our son on the days I have events and lifts me up when I am down. I am so blessed to have him in my life.
And I can’t forget my family and friends…. Without them I would be nothing.
