Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Gilson
Hi Jackie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Jackie Gilson, and I am a Wedding and Event Planner. I love to plan events and have been doing so for many years for family and friends. This had ultimately led me to officially open my own planning business, Everlasting Moments, in June 2022. My favorite events to plan are weddings, especially with rustic or beach themes. The biggest challenges I have faced in doing so were getting started and getting my name out there. My first official wedding as a business was actually for my niece and was held at an animal rescue. Alongside human guests, we also had furry ones roaming around too. To assist me in my Everlasting Moments journey, I have my creative daughter Madison working with me. She also is my personal photographer for the business and in charge of our social media. As months go by, more inquiries come in, and the more experience I obtain. You have to love what you do to be successful!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting Everlasting Moments has not always been easy. Our biggest struggle was of course getting started but that is to be expected. We are still working on obtaining a bigger outreach for our social media. There are some weddings where we encounter new challenges that we haven’t faced before and have to learn and decide in the moment how to handle such,
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Wedding and Event Planner! I specialize in Weddings, but love to plan events such as baby showers, bridals shower, family reunions as well. I am most proud of where my business is today. As my clients can tell you, I am known for my passion that I put into everything I do. I believe what sets me apart is how quickly I can handle any unexpected situations that may occur.
