Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Blaustein.
Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I believe now that all the energy I put into Bellydance has enabled me to jump into other roles like acting in film and TV, producing music videos, and marketing authors and bands. Bellydance helped me develop my vision, my passion, and discipline. And while I am currently working as an actress and producer, I can’t say I’m ready to give up the dancing just yet!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve definitely learned a lot as I’ve grown my career, and many lessons were painful to go through. If you’re like me, and you didn’t know everything you felt like you needed to know when you start out, that’s okay! You learn as you go. Be open, be tenacious, and start small. Although I’ve had my share of difficult experiences, I don’t regret the choices I’ve made. There have been some bumps and bruises along the way, but it’s been worth it to me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a dancer, actress, and film and event producer, my mission is to provide exciting and high-quality dance, film, and marketing services. Let’s take it to the next level together!
How do you think about luck?
There’s never been one big break. I have had great career opportunities because I was in the right place at the right time. However, the only reason I was at the right place at the right time is that I was “there” ALL THE TIME, mostly the wrong time. Performing is hard work no matter what, but especially when you want to make it full-time work.
You are always trying to get hired, so I am always putting myself out there, always taking the risk, and struggling over and over again. I hope I have the privilege to do this for decades to come.
