Hi Kristy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The idea of I Do Weddings started in college. I worked with a wedding planner as a coordinator, and began to love working with couples and making their dreams come true. Shortly after I graduated, I began my own business focusing on affordability and sustainability. I am where I am today with the support of friends and family and with the great opportunities I got to experience at Meredith College.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road. I learned a lot with my prior experience and was ready to take everything on once it was my time.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work as a wedding coordinator and have an online shop selling second hand wedding dresses.
As a coordinator, I help with timeline development, vendor communication, rehearsal, and all of the finer details. I always make sure I provide my couples with the best services that I can.
The online wedding shop is one of my favorite parts of my business. Not only are all wedding dresses beautiful, I love helping brides find their something special at an affordable price. We all know weddings can be very expensive, so if I can help with one expense, that makes me happy. Not only is it affordable, but its sustainable!
