Check Out Laura Brandon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Brandon.

Hi Laura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started a career in aesthetics in 2001 when I started aesthetics school. I became pregnant shortly after and finished school just before my daughter was born. I got my start doing facials and waxing at a local spa. As a young single mom, I was lucky to have family support as I was able to work full time. It has always been important to me to be able to help other people in any way that I can, so I have greatly enjoyed helping women feel better about themselves in my career. I have been fortunate to have worked at Blue Water Spa for the past 11 years, where I have continued my education and worked with an incredible group of women. I have grown in my role at Blue Water Spa over the years and now am focusing on laser treatments and some medical skin treatments such as microneedling in the new Briar Creek location.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I began this journey while pregnant, and working full time was a challenge. I was extremely sick, and started school early in the morning, then finished working by 9 pm. The days were long and tiring, but it was all worth it. After I had my daughter, I would drop my daughter off at her grandmother’s house, go to work, and then pick her up every day. It was close to 3 hours of driving each day. My daughter got very used to being in the car and was cool with it! She was a happy, easy little one. When she was little, she would always tell me that she was my sidekick and had to do everything with me. We always had a great time together.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an aesthetician and laser technician at Blue Water Spa. I enjoy helping people on their journey of improving their skin, helping with various concerns from acne to anti-aging, and laser hair removal, which can all be life-changing. I like to get to know my clients, build personal relationships with them, and help with anything they need.

To wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
We have recently opened a second location at Blue Water Spa in Briar Creek. Hopefully, this will help more people nearer that area have a more convenient place to receive the same level of care Blue Water Spa is known for. We are about to enter our 3rd month at this new location and welcome everyone to come and see us!
