Check Out Raven Fry’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raven Fry.

Hi Raven, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always known that I wanted to be a content creator. I love documenting my journey in life; it brings me happiness, and having the opportunity to monetize my content and work with brands I love is exciting. My joy in creating came from my childhood years. My parents are a huge part of my life. As a stay-at-home mom of 8 years, raising children while being a military wife is sometimes challenging. For the past six years, postpartum depression has been a battle that I’ve fought successfully. Moving away from family was very difficult, but I’ve always loved the idea of my children experiencing new places. As a child, my mom would record us on her camcorder. It was always a great experience to watch her capture our family’s adventures on video. My mom still has all the old cassettes to reflect on and enjoy today. Now, as an adult, I appreciate the importance of preserving memories.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It took some time for me to find myself, but I’ve always known that I was more than a housewife and mother. My creative passions led me towards photography initially, but it was hard for me to be consistent then. 3 years ago, when my dad’s health started declining, it became tough for me to stay engaged in my online presence; seeing him suffer made life mentally challenging. My passion for connecting with others and sharing my life slowly diminished. After my father died in March of 2022, I experienced a rapid decline in my mental health. Eventually, I became tired of seeing it continue and decided to take action. First, I started working out again and resumed creating content. Sharing my grief journey online has been therapeutic for me. I’m able to be vulnerable and uplift those who are going through similar situations.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Being a small content creator, I want to build a community of people online that I can connect with and inspire. I’m working on growing my audience on my social media accounts and pushing out more content to attract small and big brand campaigns. Currently, I’m a brand ambassador for Aerie and Good American. I recently started modeling as well, and I’ve had the opportunity to attend several casting calls. I’m excited about my future.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
I believe in taking risks, as it leads to opportunities for learning and growth. My father was a huge risk-taker. He taught me never to be afraid of achieving my goals. As a content creator, I willingly expose myself by sharing my vulnerability with the world. That’s a risk in itself. My goal is to share my story and inspire people to live unapologetically. If you don’t take risks, life never changes.
