Today, we’d like to introduce you to Shania Elliott.
Hi Shania, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for cooking started when I was about 8 years of age. My dad introduced me to cooking with our famous spaghetti. Then, my grandmother would prepare a holiday dinner, and that excited me.
When my parent got sick, I knew then I wanted to learn how to incorporate foods that would not disrupt their medication. Now, I have written 2 cookbooks and started my own business.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. I struggle daily between being a full-time mom and working a regular job, and trying to maintain a business is hard, especially when trying to grow your business.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
I am a personal chef. I specialize in creating dishes that are infused with fruits.
I am most proud of my cookbooks because not only did I showcase myself and my culinary dishes, but I was able to bring some of my family members to become an author. What sets me apart from others is that my dishes are created and made with love.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check?
I love Sarah Jake’s current books, and one of my sister’s writing has a journal that I try to complete every week. Besides that book, I have daily affirmations and the bible.
