Check Out Yis’Shyah Yisrael’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yis’Shyah Yisrael.

Hi Yis’Shyah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my business in 2014. I started out making and selling vegan breads because there were not a lot of vegan bread options in grocery stores and I and my family are vegans. I then began selling my vegan breads around my town and received a great response. So I then decided to add more to my vegan bread menu and started baking other vegan items such as cakes, pies, cookies, donuts, danishes and became a full-service vegan bakery. I now sell my product online to all 50 states and accommodate local customers in the North Carolina area. I cater to all dietary restrictions and food allergies.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For me, it has been a smooth road getting to where I am in my business because I’m a culinary trained chef. I took my knowledge and skills that I learned in culinary school and applied that to vegan cooking and baking. So many who try my products can’t believe and can’t tell that it’s vegan. Allowing me to have vegan and nonvegan customers who enjoy my products.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a vegan chef and baker as well as I eat a vegan diet. I specialize in vegan baking and I’m known for taking normal everyday familiar foods and baked goods and recreating them to be vegan. I’m proud that I have grown my business from scratch from starting out selling breads to now seven years later, a whole vegan bakery. What sets me apart is my culinary knowledge and skills and being able to replicate any recipes and create a vegan version of it.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
When starting out building any business, I would say stay true to yourself, your passion, your craft and your goal. Establish a WHY. Why did you decide to venture out and start a business. Let that or those reasons motivate and drive you to succeed and keep going through the good and bad times.
