Community Highlights: Meet Aaron Shaver of Town Fork Mobile Kitchen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Shaver.

Hi Aaron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I have had a love of cooking from a young age. As a teenager, I worked in numerous restaurants but really got serious about becoming a chef in my early 20s while in college. Throughout my career, I worked under some great chefs who cultivated my love into a career. A few years ago, while working as an Executive Chef, I began dreaming of owning and operating a food truck. This dream became a reality in July 2021 after a year of hard work planning and building the truck. While we enjoy going to all types of places, we love being able to do so many local events in and around Stokes County, where we call home. We are so thankful for the support we have received from our hometown,

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The food truck was a big risk, but one I felt would be worthwhile. It was both fun and challenging building a full kitchen on wheels, and it is an ever-changing process of finding ways to be more efficient while providing great food in such a small space. My dream was to provide restaurant quality food from the curb and that is exactly what we are doing.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Town Fork Mobile Kitchen?
One of the best parts about the food truck is sharing my passion with my family and spending time together growing our business.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
While I had planned on somewhat of a different menu, I have found my niche in serving Asian-inspired cuisine. We are not just a food truck as we offer full-service catering as well, with a variety of menu items available.

Pricing:

Town Fork is a real blessing of delicious food – real food – not junk food. My family looks forward to dining with Town Fork at least once each week. I look forward to the addition of deserts to the truck menu!
