Today we’d like to introduce you to Brionna McKiver.
Hi Brionna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My Journey to becoming a photographer started at a young age. However, it is safe to say that I did not recognize it. Growing up, I always loved the camera, whether it be a Fujifilm camera, Coolpix pocket camera, or a Video camera. I would often Video church services or take pictures during family outings or family fun nights at home. Fast forward to 2019, My God Sister was deciphering whether she would sell her Canon T7 Rebel, and I requested to purchase the camera from her. I noticed the gift I had in simply being able to pick up the camera and began to take and pose various clients pro bono. Shortly after, I became a self-taught photographer and realized that my gift had made room for me to prosper in the photography world today! My Mantra is “Capturing Moments the Natural Eye Can’t See.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
Becoming a photographer brought new challenges. Utilizing a camera in “Auto Mode” is one of the fast ways that one can call themself a photographer. I struggled with using my camera in Manual Mode but remained persistent in learning this new skill. I did not realize the power I had to control my camera in Manual Mode to depict the best lighting and settings that would produce a Higher Quality image.

I am the Founder and Owner of BoujeeBri Photography. I am a photographer based in Fayetteville, NC, and also Travel throughout the U.S to capture weddings, events, maternity, engagements/elopements, weddings, graduations, birthdays, and lifestyle photography. I take pride in “Capturing Moments the Natural Eye Can’t See.” I thrive on creativity, fun, and making a comfortable environment for my clients. I pay attention to details and angles, which allow me to create a long-lasting memory. I specialize in. Aside from my business, I also work a full-time job as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I often utilize my therapeutic skills during a photography session by providing my clients with tools that would Boost their level of Confidence as they see themselves illustrated in the Masterpieces I capture.

I have experienced blessings and losses within my life and business. I have learned that there are times that we may experience such losses; however, there is always a Blessing in disguise.
