Hi Cameron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a deep love and strong bond with dogs. My family dog is 12 years old and we’ve had her since my freshman year in high school. She means everything to me! When I moved away from my hometown in NY and down to Raleigh, it was very apparent that many shared the same love for their dog(s). With an increase in consumer travel and returning back to the office, I found myself walking and watching my friends and families dogs more and more often. In December 2023, I decided to officially start my Dog walking/sitting business!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with any business, there are certainly obstacles. Initially, figuring out how to start the formation of my business and the paperwork associated with that was a bit of a learning curve. Thankfully, I had some great resources I was able to lean on to assist with the setup.

Now, the challenge has shifted to customer acquisition and getting my name out there to dog owners in the area. I have a great reputation with my current customers and they have been very helpful with promoting me to their friends, family, and neighbors. Continuing to market, meet new dogs/their owners, and growing my business is the primary focus now.

Doggy Dude, LLC specializes in dog walking and in home dog sitting. Currently, I am the owner and operator. I am both insured & bonded (this is a big deal- it protects the dog, the owner, and their home). Compassionate and reliable care that ensures your dog(s) are happy, healthy, and well-cared for while you’re away is what you can expect. I offer personalized service with the utmost attention to your pets needs, creating a safe and enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners. Many dogs are not getting the adequate exercise they need each day.
