Community Highlights: Meet Christy Capps & Olivia Holway of Thrive CO Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christy Capps & Olivia Holway.

Christy & Olivia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We’re owners of Thrive CO Marketing. We met in our college Marketing Class. We both majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. After graduating in the middle of a pandemic, we decided we wanted to make a positive impact on small businesses in our community. Our goal is to help their businesses thrive using our skills and background in marketing, social media management and admin. We started marketing ourselves and now work with companies from a variety of industries, print, jewelry, fashion, design, etc.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business in the middle of a pandemic defiantly had its challenges. Honestly, just starting a business in all had its challenges. We started out not really knowing anything about how to go about starting a business. We just took it day by day and had an understanding that it would take time to get it up and going. This helped us to avoid being overwhelmed by the endless tasks there seems to be when starting a business from scratch. We gained a variety of skill sets throughout the process of registering and setting up our business, making financial decisions, etc. at the age of us both being 23. It’s been a learning process throughout the way and continues to be one every day (which is also why we love it!)

Thrive CO Marketing offers a variety of services specialized to help small businesses. We offer services such as Instagram Management, Pinterest Management, Email Management, and more! Our niche is working with creatives such as Brand & Web Designers but since we are a fairly new business, we are open to chatting with anyone to see if a partnership would be a good fit! We believe what sets us apart from others is that we are a duo, instead of having just one virtual assistant/social media manager, you get two! We are most proud of seeing our client’s engagement and online presence grow while we are working with them (makes it all worth it!).

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We have learned that there is no better time to follow your dreams than NOW! You really never know what is going to happen, so don’t wait until tomorrow, start today!
