Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamia Hicks.
Hi Jamia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
First and foremost, thank you, God. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and you’re placed in positions purposely. I am 23 years old. During my senior year of college, I began in the Network Marketing industry, I was a mentor to many in that space and one of my downlines has turned out to be my mentor in the Cleaning Business industry.
I appreciate Maria more than she knows, but she introduced me to the business and I was immediately intrigued. She literally took me under her wing and showed me everything step by step, I contemplated on it for a while just because it was something new and different, just getting in my own way until I just kept seeing signs that I should just do and just go for it.
So I did, and I haven’t looked back since it has been nothing short of amazing, I’m grateful for the wins and lessons of it all, I believe that having a mentor has definitely made all of the difference. Everything that I learned about marketing, business, and professionalism in network marketing, I applied to my own personal company. Every opportunity for me to market my business, I do it.
I do a lot of research on what’s the best products, what’s the best methods, I spend a lot of time, constantly thinking about how I can improve my company to be the best of the best every single day. I believe that that just comes from becoming obsessed with my craft and the success of my business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, not at all. Everything comes with challenges, the bigger the goal the bigger the obstacles. A challenge for me was really having the courage to do it, just because it is something new and different for me, I think limiting beliefs are a huge challenge when it comes to entrepreneurship.
Because you’re stepping out on faith not sure if it’s going to work or not, but I am super big on personal development every single day which strengthens your mindset and feeds positivity and positive affirmations to yourself every day.
Another challenge, is thinking oh there are so many other cleaning companies out there, but you have to understand that, that doesn’t matter because think about what sets you apart and people are going to go with what gives them the most value, it’s a funny way of thinking about it, but if you’d like to think about the bread aisle in the grocery store, there are several brands of bread but every one of them is different and people like different brands.
Lastly, it’s trial and error to see what works best for marketing my company and gaining that clientele but your work & the value you bring to your customers speak for themselves.

What I am most proud of brand-wise, is honestly watching the evolution of this brand and company just watching the process is beautiful because I remember starting at 0 and to see where we are today and just where we will be in the next few months even is mind-blowing.
We have a referral rewards program where, after you book your first clean, if you refer someone then you do get a percentage taken off of your next clean.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Consistency and patience.
Being consistent always, always being patient with yourself, and understanding that everything is going to work out the way that it is supposed to. Things do not happen overnight, or when you feel like they should happen, the biggest thing I would say is falling in love with the process and showing gratitude for it all.
Being grateful for the wins and being grateful for the lessons, looking at every lesson as a stepping stone to learn from.
