Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Woodall.

Jessica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always loved taking pictures! One day I decided to sell my smart tv and purchase a Canon Rebel to host holiday mini sessions on a tree farm. After the new year, people wanted to know about spring sessions and if I could photograph their wedding. One thing led to another and I was able to quit my job to do photography full time.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

Hi, I’m Jessica with Jessica Woodall Photography. I specialize in wedding and portrait photography. I’m based in the Raleigh area but will travel for weddings and portrait sessions.

You should feel comfortable and natural when the camera comes out. You shouldn’t have to worry, you have enough stress as it is! Many freeze up in front of the camera because they feel awkward.

It’s time to say, “enough of that!!”. I’m going to take care of you. With me, you’re going to feel comfortable, like being with an old friend. I’m going to see your need before you even know you have it.

So take a deep breath. Embrace these moments. Laugh loud and love deep.

What makes you happy?
My family is my whole world! There are three girls that fill our home with dancing, singing, and messy crafts. Sure, it’s hard but it is a lot of fun. Needless to say, my family makes me the most happy. This joy carries into my work because I love seeing families come together to laugh and capture their love and bond.
