Community Highlights: Meet Kelvin Brock of Brock & Co. Cleaning Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelvin Brock.

Hi Kelvin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hello my Name is Kelvin D Brock Jr. Owner and Operator of Brock & Co Cleaning Services. I Started in the cleaning industry over 10 years ago as a client. After hiring multiple companies, I realize I found my niche and decided to start my own cleaning company to offer a unique type of cleaning service.  I wanted to offer a more detailed and thorough cleaning and not just basic bare minimum cleaning . The success of Brock & Co Cleaning Services  is due to my wonderful clients not only being repeat customers, but also word of mouth referrals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far business has been smooth. Every (small for now) business has its ups and downs, but I believe that preparation is key. A quote to live by (in business) that has helped me has  been  “hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, and unsurprised by anything in between.” – Maya Angelou.

The only obstacle/Challenge I have faced so far is scheduling. My employees and I all work full-time jobs,  so it is challenging sometimes to schedule clients during the week. It definitely gets hectic sometimes juggling a full-time job, and another business (LibraByBrock) and Brock & Co Cleaning Services. However, we always pull through and are there to meet our client’s needs.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Brock & Co Cleaning Services is a cleaning company that was started over a year ago. We clean residential and commercial properties. We specialize in Deep Cleans, Sanitizing, General Cleaning, VCT Floor Waxing, Post Construction Cleanings, Move Ins/Move Outs, Carpet Cleaning. Will be adding more services in the future. What makes Brock & Co Cleaning Services stand out is our attention to detail is immaculate. We also made Efficiency, Quality, and Outstanding Customer Service a priority.

I am most proud of how Brock & Co Cleaning Services has earned business off of referrals from extremely satisfied customers and our amazing reviews on Google. I would like for your readers to know that Brock & Co Cleaning Services is a small (for now) black-owned family business. I built this company because I realized I had expertise in this area and realized this field of work could use a business like mine.

There is never a shortage of jobs in this area. I plan to eventually expand Brock & Co Cleaning Services by adding additional employees as we acquire more residential and commercial contracts.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
A favorite childhood memory, wow!!, I have so many. I would say playing basketball until 1-2am in the morning every night in my old neighborhood in San Diego, CA with all my friends.
