Community Highlights: Meet LaToya W. of Eymjusme

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaToya W.

LaToya W.

Hi LaToya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The name eymjusme (I’m Jus Me) came to me in 1998 while only in the 6th grade. Long story short, I have always felt like I was the lonely kid in school. I could hang with everyone, but I’ve always felt like I was different. One day, while on break, I looked around and realized that I was all alone. I felt this presence come over me (it was literally like a hug from Jesus). I walked back into my classroom and wrote on a piece of paper, “eymjusme.” That was my confirmation to embrace my different and be who God created me to be. Fast forward to 2020, I decided to create an apparel company to allow others the opportunity to showcase that they, too, were embracing who God created them to be. Whenever you see someone wearing “eymjusme apparel,” let it be a simple reminder that you are beautiful, you are unique, and to embrace EVERYTHING about YOU, including what makes you different.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Having a business is not easy at all! It really takes hard work, execution, discipline, and a lot of faith. Although it’s hard, it’s also rewarding to do what you love while helping other women become comfortable with who they are. Some of the struggles are sharing they business consistently and just getting the brand the exposure that it needs.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Eymjusme is a brand that I created to empower, encourage, and motive women to embrace their different. We specialized in apparel that encourages you to be different. We love when people choose to go against society’s standards because that is what make us unique. I am most proud that just by writing a word on a piece of paper in the 6th grade has created a whole brand that other people can relate to.
