Community Highlights: Meet Lindsey Grohoski of Daydreamer Social

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Grohoski.

Lindsey Grohoski

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My social media journey began back in college. While studying, I was able to intern at some really great companies in Scottsdale, Arizona. I had always been really creative, ever since I was little, so I knew that the creative direction was best for me. I studied Communications with a minor in Marketing & Sales at Arizona State University.

Immediately after graduation, I worked for a large hospitality group as their Social Media Manager and stayed there for two years. While there, I ran the entire social media department, which included overseeing 16 Instagram accounts and other various platforms, along with building out their influencer program and running all paid social media ads. Although I learned a lot during my internships, this company is where I really dove head-first into the world of social media management.

During that initial job out of college, I had ideas of running my own business eventually, but with the workload, it was definitely just a dream within my five-year plan. I had the opportunity to work for a start-up company within the health space and worked my way to being their Head of Social Media. During my time there, I was able to take on a few clients as a side hustle under the business I had slowly been building.

I launched Daydreamer Social in the early spring of 2020 but took it full-time in the winter of 2021! It has been a really fun learning process about what works for me, what my clients are looking for, and how we can come together to transform their social media presence! Each one of my clients holds a special place in my heart, and I’ve built lasting friendships with each of them, which is important to me and my culture as a business owner.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like the journey of being an entrepreneur can have both smooth and rocky moments.

Whenever I’ve hit a weird spot, whether I don’t know what to do or am experiencing imposter syndrome, I always go to my loved ones and entrepreneur friends and seek guidance from them.

I have many people behind me cheering me on, and I think that helps make this process smooth even when there are rough days or weeks!

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Daydreamer Social?
Daydreamer Social is a boutique social media agency specializing in social media + content creation for fashion, lifestyle, and beauty brands.

I love helping businesses looking for social media management, influencer management, paid social media advertisement, content creation, event planning, and photoshoot planning.

The relationship I build with my clients and the approach to social media & influencer marketing would set me apart from others!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I’ve always been rather creative! I loved to color, scrapbook, paint, draw, and read, which I think is what led me in a more creative direction as I grew up and into adulthood.

In school, math and science were not subjects that I was strong in, but I always did well in English classes or anything that leaned creative.
