Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Subbiah.
Hi Rebecca, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have been a dietitian for over 20 years, I graduated in 2001 in Scotland. I worked for a couple of years in the UK then moved to the states. I took a number of years off to raise kids during that time I did social media work and farmed. But a couple of years ago I joined a private practice and loved being back in the field this led me to start my own practice. I am passionate about whole-person health and truly supporting folks on their health journey. I love that in private practice you can give folks time to listen in a non-hurried way and allow them to feel heard and supported.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would say the biggest struggle as a new business owner is marketing and trying to figure out how to have a steady flow of clients.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Anchored Nutrition Therapy?
I have a private nutrition practice offering support on intuitive and mindful eating, raising healthy kids, digestive health with a focus on IBS and whole-person health.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I loved playing outdoors, exploring, climbing trees, playing in the creek, and building forts. I love connecting to folks from other cultures and trying new foods. This interest started in high school and it was my favorite part of university as I met folks from around the world.
