Community Highlights: Meet Sherry Waters of IEnate & The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherry Waters. She and her team share their story with us below:

The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary is an herbal tea lounge that touches all of the senses with healing elements. From the warm inviting decor, the soothing aroma of the diffused essential oils, to the special complimentary pastries – patrons are invited to unplug from the cares of the day, enjoy quiet respite or gather delightfully with others.

A former chaplain for Atrium, Sherry Waters – Owner and Operator of the tea bar – infuses her spiritual care experiences as a chaplain and complementary integrative wellness support that she provides as a Spiritual Companion & Community Chaplain. She named the tea bar after her grandmothers – Pauline and Lena – who embodied gracious hospitality to their family and community.

Sherry is also a Personal Stewardship Coach/Practitioner who is passionate about increasing awareness of community stewardship and personal responsibility. She coaches individuals on being better stewards of everything with which they’ve been entrusted.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a pretty smooth road, with lots of community support.

As most businesses experienced, we had to pivot and be a bit more innovative at the beginning of COVID – adding an online shop, selling loose leaf tea at a few outdoor farmer’s markets, and doing some curb-side orders – until patrons were allowed to come back into our lounge.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about IEnate, LLC DBA and The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary?

The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary is an herbal tea lounge that touches all of the senses with healing elements.

From the warm inviting decor, the soothing aroma of the diffused essential oils, to the special complimentary pastries – patrons are invited to unplug from the cares of the day, enjoy quiet respite or gather delightfully with others. The Pauline Tea-Bar Apothecary partners with eco-sourced tea herbalists to bring quality teas, tea accessories, and other natural homeopathic items – such as essential oils, soy candles, and delicious organic pastries.

We offer the following herbal teas: Lemon Ginger, Turmeric Ginger, Peppermint, Chamomile, Rosehips, Rooibos, Warming Crimson, Tangerine White, Yerba Mate, Hibiscus, Cinnamon Orange, Matcha, Jasmine, Indian Spice (Chai) and Raspberry Green.

The use of the word “apothecary” implies that there is medicine in the space; and, true, the healing support of the herbal tea, aromatherapy offerings, and sage wisdom of the instructional classes is the holistic experience patrons feel in slowing down and allowing this sacred space to be one of respite and sensory well-being.

Local art and photography exhibitions are on display for purchase or to view, while savoring your tea. The sacred space has been used for restorative yoga, meditation, DIY workshops, journal writing, etc. A newly installed walking labyrinth helps patrons to reflect, unwind and let go of everyday concerns in order to renew some sense of inner calm, balance, and perspective.
