Hi Terrance, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I had just received my master’s degree, but the only job I could get was working in sales for a mattress company. At the company, everyone (no matter the title or position) made the same amount of money and worked 50-plus hours a week. We were all broke and miserable. I felt lost and started to feel depressed. I needed something new, or I was going to die trying. One day a friend of mine kept telling me about the rise of Virtual Reality in the Metaverse. I was instantly captivated. I taught myself how to create the platforms, and from there, Meta Wellness was born.
Would it have been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It took me many months and hours to learn how to create virtual reality platforms. After I mastered the craft, I still needed to figure out how to turn it into a business. I started reaching out to people in all fields, such as interior designers, DJs, podcasts, etc. no one seemed interested. Until one day, a mental health professional asked me if I could build them a platform to host their telehealth sessions. The idea was brilliant, and from there, I found my niche.

Meta Wellness creates Virtual Reality platforms for mental health professionals, life coaches, therapists, and non-profits to host their telehealth sessions, group sessions, events, etc., in the Metaverse.
What do you think about happiness?
It makes me happy to see the next stage of mental health. The possibilities of mental health have never been more exciting, and telehealth will no longer be used for zoom or a laptop. Virtual Reality is the next level.
