Hi Victoria (Vicki), so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After teaching multiple grade levels and English as a Second Language in five different countries, over twenty-two years, I retired to my home country, the U. S. A.
Fifteen years ago I started experiencing Neuropathy in my feet, which over time has moved throughout my body. I’m disabled and have not left home in six months due to issues with Neuropathy.
In February 2026, I will be celebrating three years of working with LegalShield. I was a teacher for forty years, which I still do. I never thought of myself as being a sales person. However, with the tools available on my website, I can share LegalShield videos that explain the products of legal access to a law-firm and IDShield to protect ones identity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I mentioned getting Neuropathy.
Neuropathy has spread to other parts of my body. I have Optic Neuropathy which is limiting my screen time.

What were you like growing up?
I want to start this section with the most important decision of my life that happened the summer of 1973.
My parents started attending a Bible Church that was about a Thirty minute drive from our home. Our church participated in this camp every year and I was 12 and just old enough to attend. It was the first summer camp I went to. It was run by Child Evangelism Fellowship.
On the second day of camp, July 17, 1973, the pastor from my home church preached a message that I have never forgotten. It’s found in Luke 16:19-31. After hearing that message, I realized that I was just like that rich man. Not because I had a lot of money, but because I didn’t have God in my life. Yes, I went to church, but I had never asked God to forgive me of my sins and to come live in my life. A sweet young lady opened my Bible and showed me what I needed to do to let God/Jesus into my life to change me from the inside – out. Having Jesus in my life has changed me. My faith in Him has given me hope in every situation I have gone through throughout my life – good or bad.
When I was 12, I got my first job. I delivered the newspaper. At the time, we lived in a town of 365 people. Everyone knew everyone. I gradually went from one paper route to two. I delivered one paper Monday – Saturday in the afternoon and 7 days a week in the morning. I also had to collect money from customers. I then started getting babysitting jobs from my customers. I was friendly and knew most of the people in our small town.
I loved/love reading. We had a small library in our town and at our church. Mysteries were my favorite genre. I read the Bible too. Now I listen to the Bible since my fingers don’t work to well to turn pages, due to the neuropathy.
I met the love of my life my Senior year in college. We have three beautiful children. Our two sons are married, our daughter is a Marine. We have four beautiful grandchildren that live 19 hours away, by car. I have a story-time/drawing time with them every Tuesday which I have done for the last 6 years.
Since I don’t leave home, I also try to call other “shut-in” people to encourage them.
