Hi Warren, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Grew up in small town, NC State Computer Science was my ticket out. Started flunking out of school, turned life around. Knocked on doors and painted houses over the summer, hated it. Eventually met a guy at my church and we hit it off. Started a painting business together, then left that and started Raleigh Flooring in 2021. Lacked focus, chased every type of job. Had to let go of entire team and restart again. Managed to maintain 30% year over year growth since starting. This year pacing 100% growth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Lots of ups and down. Still experiencing stress, as I’m almost over the hump. Learning to run with joy instead of fear.

We serve residential clients in the greater raleigh area looking to update their flooring.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I am learning to become more risk adverse. Played lots of poker in college. Went all in more than I should. Now that I have family and dependencies, I’m learning to take fewer risks.
