Hi Yomaira, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My name is Yomaira Garcia Maffia, and I’m the founder of ComoTu, an e-commerce store specializing in baby products. How did I get here? It all started with a combination of love for family and the need to adapt to a life of constant movement. My husband serves in the United States military, so we’re often uprooted and moved from city to city. This situation posed a challenge: how do you find stable employment when you’re constantly moving? The answer was clear: create my own business and work from home! And so ComoTu was born. I chose this name because I wanted our company to reflect our identity and closeness with all families. As a mother of two, I understood the importance of capturing every special moment, especially during a baby’s early years. That’s when the idea for our milestone blankets came to me. What makes them special? Aside from their charming design and softness, they’re the only ones on the market that allow you to select both the month and the baby’s height to create truly personalized memories. As a mother, I know how invaluable it is to look back and relive every stage of our little ones’ growth. It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest obstacles have been internal, stemming from my mindset. Nothing is impossible, and the most significant challenge lies within ourselves. This country is filled with opportunities. Since I arrived in this country as a Latina, all I have received is love and support. So, the natural obstacles have been disciplining myself, pushing myself harder every day, maintaining consistency, facing every challenge that comes my way, and seeing life as the incredible gift that it is, day in and day out.

When we achieve this internal harmony, we find that external abundance and well-being are natural byproducts. We face life’s challenges calmly and confidently, enjoying each experience regardless of its difficulty.
