Hi Angela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
One evening while scrolling through Facebook, I came across someone making whipped shea butter. This instantly caught my eye. I’ve always loved using natural products, especially shea butter, cocoa butter, and natural oils. I knew that creating my own whipped shea butter would not only be an amazing hobby but a way to raise awareness of the health of the skin.
I started creating my whipped butter from home and began selling it to my friends, family members, and colleagues. Today, I am still selling to the same audience, and also through people who find me through social media, referrals, and vending opportunities.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No. As I’ve been on my entrepreneurial journey there have been many bumps in the road. Creating my products takes a lot of research, funding, and innovation to make them stand out and be recognized.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Day-to-day, I am a caregiver. I enjoy helping others and giving back to the community in any capacity that I can. I also run a thrifting business, where I find unique, vintage items and style them for purchase.
I am most proud of the amazing customer base that I have grown. I always get so excited to see the support I get on my social media posts and in-person events.
What sets me apart from others is that I do the research on all of the ingredients that go into my products, and fully disclose this information with my customers to make sure they do not have any allergies and to ensure that the products will feature ingredients that meet their needs.

Many people do not know that creating products has been a passion of mine for over 20 years. After raising my two wonderful daughters, I took a leap out on faith and decided to fully invest in this passion.
